Happy New Year

This is a late quick post. I wanted to post this earlier but have been busy/lazy. This is a quick little picture of a sign of the seasons, at least here in Sydney. The Christmas Bush Ceratopetalum gummiferum. The christmas bush can grow to 30m high and flowers with beautiful flowers over summer beginning from late November. The flowers have been used as decorations since the early colonial times in place of holy or evergreens. (30d, 60mm, f4, 1/320th)

This shot was taken at Carrolls Creek in Garigal National Park in late December.
