Nelsons Bay

Maegan and I went for a quick weekend up to Nelsons Bay. I didnt shoot that much whilst there just enjoyed relaxing and doing nothing. Its a fantastic little place, great snorkling and diving. Good food (see degustation blog), great wildlife and lots of nice walks. Whilst there we were lucky enough to snorkle and see a penguin as well as some fantastic fish in beautiful clear water.

The above photo (1ds, 17-40mm, f11, 15 secs) was taken at Sunset on our last night. We drove past Fingal Bay and decided it could make a good sunset shoot. Coming back we werent prepared for how busy it was and the people and cars wouldnt allow for the shot I had in mind. After a quick walk around the rocks I realised I could get the same focal point without the people and with a different foreground. This picture was taken from the rocks at Barrys Point looking towards the headlands of Fingal Beach.
